Swedish designer Stephen F is sticking out of the crowd at New York Fashion Week by holding his fashion event at the legendary The Oak Room at Plaza Hotel, a prestigious building in the southeast corner of Central Park.
”When we heard that the premises will soon be rebuilt, we felt it was the perfect location for our AW15 presentation, while the historic feel is still there. There’s so much history at Plaza Hotel, with both Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe having made famous appearances in the past,” he says in the interview.
Looking back in history has been an important part in the design of the new Stephen F collection.
”Our new collection is called The Lili Collection and is dedicated to my grandmother Lili. So for me, this whole show will be very personal.”
The collection style is clean, sleek, and eye-catching, due to the innovative and surprising details that makes each garment stand out, with materials such as velvet, cashmere and fur.
